About our Large Storage Units

We have one size storage unit at our facility. Each unit is a large 5.2m deep x 3m wide x about 2.6m internal height, which is 15.6m2 or over 40m3.


They are all fitted with their own locking mechanisms and are fully self-contained with solid roof and walls. The roller doors have an opening of 2.4m wide and a height of 2.1m.


The units can accommodate a business, trade or large house (eg 4 Bedroom home of furniture).


How to Apply

RE/MAX Success have made the application process as quick and simple as possible.  There is a ‘Shed Hire Agreement’ to fill out. This can be signed in person at their office, usually at time of collecting keys, for a vacant shed. If the form is signed in advance, RE/MAX Success can have you sign electronically, through a separate software system. They try and cater for each person’s situation, making it as easy and convenient as possible.

 

The upfront costs are your first months rent and a $100 deposit. The deposit is fully refundable upon vacating the shed, once Remax staff have checked it’s all clean, tidy and not damaged etc. RE/MAX Success will also factor in any unpaid or overpaid rent with the refund too.

  • Who manages the facility?

  • What are your opening hours?

    Our managing agent, RE/MAX Success Real Estate Toowoomba are open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm and closed on weekends.


    The storage facility in Drayton is available to customers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year – whenever you need access.


  • What is your access like?

    Our facility is open to tenants 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We believe it’s your items and you have the right to access them when it suits you.


    Moving goods into and out of storage units is easy and convenient. As a purpose build storage facility, all units are on ground level and vehicles are able to drive into the storage complex, right up to your own unit. Simply, park your car at your roller door and move your goods in and out, as you please. 


    The facility is built on sloping land. As a result, there are three ramps either side of the complex. These ramps are not suitable for lowered vehicles. The units that are located at these ramps have three steps, to compensate for the incline. These six units are not suitable for wheel in/ drive in items such as a ride on mower. These unit numbers are 6, 11, 16, 35, 40 and 45. You can check your unit location on time of booking.


    Units located on the right side of the facility have a very wide concrete driveway of about 3.8m, suitable for large trucks. The units on the left side have a spacing for a single car to fit down it’s concrete driveway. The left side is not suitable for trucks to fit. If this is an issue for you, please check your units location at time of booking. 


  • What security do you offer?

    Access to our secure facility is restricted to tenants only.  This means the public isn’t walking or driving past your unit freely. Our facility is surrounded by high security fencing. We have 2 locked access gates at the front of the property. Our units are all individually locked with our locks. When you rent a unit, you will be given two keys, one for the gates and one just for your unit. There is space on your roller door for a second lock if you wish to add your own extra lock to the unit.

  • How big are your largest Units?

    All our units are the same large 5.3m x 3m in size. That is 15.6m2 or over 40m3. Visually, it’s a larger space than a standard garage or a shipping container. These units could possibly suit a large commercial applications or a large 3 - 4 bedroom home.

  • Can I store anything in the units?

    Yes, anything except dangerous or flammable goods. Some are listed below. If you are unsure, please ask.

    • Hazardous, dangerous or flammable goods
    • Toxic, pollutant or contaminated goods
    • Gas bottles or petrol cans
    • Firearms, ammunition or explosives
    • Items emitting fumes, odours or smells
    • Illegal goods
    • Waste
    • Living plants or animals
    • Wheat bag warmers
    • Environmental harmful goods
    • Fertilisers
    • Perishable, goods or food
  • Do I need to take our insurance on my unit items?

    We would recommend contents insurance, just like you would with your items at home. If it’s important enough for you to store, then it’s important enough to insure. Contact your local insurance company to get a quote.

    Our clients include domestic, business (record storage) and light industrial, all of whom appreciate the great access, capacity and economy of our service. It is ideal for business’ with excess stock or as a pick-up/drop-off point for staff. Our larger units are made of durable steel, weatherproofed construction and are suitable for commercial stock use or the larger household. 


  • What if I experience a problem or need to report an issue?

    Please, contact our managing agents, RE/MAX Success Toowoomba on (07) 4638 6115. They might not be aware of the issue so we appreciate your reporting any issues/ maintenance you notice. If it is out of hours, you can also email them at service@remaxsuccess.com.au.

  • How do I pay for a storage unit?

    RE/MAX Success Real Estate can take payment by direct debit from a nominated credit card or bank account (fees apply) or with a barcode at Australian Post Offices (no additional fee).

  • Are you open public holidays?

    Yes, you will have access to your items whenever you need them, including public holidays.


    However, RE/MAX Success Toowoomba’s office is not open on Public holidays.


  • What is the minimum or maximum time I can rent a unit for?

    There is no maximum time limit to rent a unit. The minimum time limit is one month. If you choose to use the unit for only a portion of the time, you simply need to provide Remax Success two week’s notice.

  • Where are you located?

    Our family’s facility is located at 34 Sowden Street, between Watts & Ball Streets, Drayton.
